The things we do for love.

Perfect. Sabres in hand. Come on. It will be fine. We can do it. Wonderful. Everything is ok. It sucks. Call me tomorrow. Art will save us.

These are the first and last sentences of telephone conversations I have recently noted.

When the fragile foundations of turbocapitalism force us to fight for noodles, reflection suddenly comes. Is this really what it’s all about?

Locked in homes, apartments, studios, and finally in our heads – we begin to long. It turns out that what we miss is another man. The near yet distant excess of impulses made our contacts often only superficial. Today, we miss not only meetings and walks. But simply a direct conversation, touch, kiss.

Love. Let her bring back all your kitschy associations.

What can we do for her? What is she?

Longings, dreams, desires.
Dream love. She envies a lover and dies of longing.
Romantic, unfulfilled, erotic, perverse, to friends, caring love, to oneself, to art, to another human being.
Lack of love. Lies, jealousy and secrets.
The fight for equal rights to love for all, without exception.
Because sometimes all we have is just “Brokeback Mountain”.

At Shefter Gallery, we believe in artistic intuition, which is why we indisputably, simply give voice to 23 artists, allowing them to flood us all with love.
We expect a spring of love, though it is the spring so different than all others

Perfect. Come on. Art will save us.
Or maybe love?
